Loralee Jeanne Weaver, 74, of Springboro, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 4, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. Loralee was born on April 16, 1947, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Howard and Alice (nee Crum) Dietzel. A 1965 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, she pursued her passion for nursing at St. Luke’s School of Nursing of Cleveland, Ohio, graduating in 1968. She married Joe Weaver in 1972 in Austintown, Ohio. Her dedication to caring for others extended throughout her entire life.

Travel was a significant source of joy for Loralee. From post-college adventures in Europe and Hawaii to golf trips with friends and family vacations with her daughters and grandchildren, she embraced opportunities to explore the world. A lifelong dream was realized with a visit to the Holy Land.

Her faith was central to her life. She expressed her devotion through music, participating in choirs at Fairhaven Church, Austintown Community Church, and various community choirs. Loralee’s talent for quilting brought comfort and joy to many. Countless quilts were created to commemorate, comfort, offer hope, and express love. Her generosity extended to both her faith family and her extended family. She was a caregiver, nurturer, confidant, and mentor.

Loralee was known for her independence, unwavering faith, and problem-solving attitude. She faced adversity with a resolute “we will figure it out” spirit. Her inability to say “no” led to her involvement in numerous organizations as a volunteer and leader. She treated everyone as family, cherishing connections made at Fairhaven Church, Austintown Community Church, the My Material Girls quilters, Vineyard Downtown Help Center in Franklin, the Youngstown Saxon Club, and the Austintown Fitch Band. Loralee had a unique ability to create a sense of belonging wherever she went.

Preceded in death by her parents, brother Neville “Dietz” Dietzel, and husband Joseph “Joe” Weaver, Loralee is survived by her daughters and their families: Wendy and Andy Blumberg, and their children David and Jessie of Springboro, Ohio; and Mandy and Cris Ransdell, and their children Jackie and Alice of Chester, New Jersey. She also leaves behind her fiancé, Wayne Heath. Her absence will be deeply felt by countless friends and family members whose lives she touched.

A memorial service will be held at Fairhaven Church, 875 W Central Ave, Springboro, OH 45066, on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at 2 p.m., officiated by Jared Petty. A second service will be held at Austintown Community Church, 242 S Canfield-Niles Rd (Rt 46), Austintown, OH 44515, on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be in Forrest Lawn Cemetery.
