As part of our commitment to delivering safe and high-quality water services, we periodically conduct free chlorination in specific service areas. From March 17, 2025 to April 7, 2025, our District 2 Water Service Area will undergo free chlorination. This common practice for water systems using combined chlorine disinfection helps maintain the integrity of our distribution system. While the process is designed to be seamless, you may notice a slight change in the taste or odor of your tap water during this period. Rest assured, this is a temporary and normal part of ensuring the continued safety and reliability of your water services.

Lead Service Line Information and Inventory
The safety of your drinking water is our top priority. Broward County Water and Wastewater Services diligently monitors water quality for various compounds, including lead. While our water is lead-free when it leaves our treatment plants, lead can potentially enter drinking water through lead service lines on your property or internal plumbing. We have completed a comprehensive service line inventory and confirmed that 100% of our service lines are non-lead. Public Notice: Regional Effluent & Reuses Solutions Project
Broward County is committed to investing in infrastructure improvements to enhance our water services. We are providing early notice and seeking public review for a proposed activity within a Federal Flood Risk Management Standard Designated Floodplain. This activity is part of The Regional Effluent & Reuses Solutions project, located along Copans Road, from Powerline Road to the Pompano Beach Municipal Golf Course in Pompano Beach. This project is funded under CDBG-MIT MT042 and is subject to floodplain regulations.
