Important Notice: Free Chlorination Period
As part of our ongoing commitment to water quality and system integrity, we will be conducting free chlorination in the District 2 Water Service Area from March 17, 2025, to April 7, 2025. This is a standard practice in water systems using combined chlorine disinfection to maintain the health of the distribution system. While this process is designed to be transparent, you may notice a slight change in the taste or odor of your tap water during this period. Rest assured, this is temporary and part of our effort to deliver safe and reliable water service.
Optimize Your Water Usage with a Free Irrigation Evaluation
Did you know that outdoor irrigation can account for more than half of your home water usage? If you are a WWS customer with a city water irrigation system, we can help you improve your water efficiency. We partner with Broward’s NatureScape Irrigation Service to offer FREE irrigation evaluations. A trained irrigation specialist will assess your system and provide tailored recommendations for better scheduling and more efficient outdoor water use. Apply for your free evaluation here and take a step towards water conservation.
Understanding Lead in Your Water Service
Broward County Water and Wastewater Services diligently monitors the quality of your drinking water, testing for various compounds, including lead. It’s important to know that while our water leaving the treatment plant is lead-free, lead can sometimes enter drinking water through lead service lines on your property or internal plumbing. We have completed a comprehensive service line inventory and confirmed that 100% of our service lines are non-lead. We are committed to transparency and providing you with information to ensure your water safety. For more details on our service line inventory and ways to minimize lead exposure, please Learn More.
