A team of experienced healthcare professionals, including an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) available Monday through Thursday, and a medical doctor on Fridays, are ready to address your primary healthcare needs. Important Information for College of Medicine Students

It is important to note that to maintain objectivity and avoid conflicts of interest, UCF Health physicians and College of Medicine faculty with evaluative influence over medical students will not provide direct care to College of Medicine students for health concerns, including mental health issues. This policy ensures fair and unbiased academic assessments. College of Medicine students seeking care for such matters at UCF Student Health Services or UCF Health will be guided to appropriate alternative providers.

UCF Student Health Services extends its support to students engaged in clinical rotations at remote locations, ensuring healthcare access regardless of location:

Bay Pines VA Healthcare System

Students at Bay Pines VA Healthcare System can utilize University of South Florida (USF) health facilities. For services at the St. Petersburg campus, visit St. Petersburg campus, or for the Tampa campus, see Tampa campus. Contact Monica Barksdale at USF (813-974-9336) or Melanie McCabe at USFSP (727-873-4410), identify yourself as a UCF College of Medicine student, and schedule an appointment. While visits are covered, students are responsible for insurance claims for other services, with USF providing assistance in processing these claims.

Naples Community Hospital (NCH)

Students at Naples Community Hospital (NCH) can access care at any NCH Immediate Care Center (NCH Immediate Care Centers) or the NCH Business Health unit (239-624-8160). The nearest Immediate Care is at 801 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples, FL (239-624-8220). “Wait at home” options are also available via the NCH website for added convenience.

North Florida Regional Medical Center or Ocala Regional Medical Center

Students at North Florida Regional Medical Center (Gainesville) or Ocala Regional Medical Center (Ocala) can visit the University of Florida’s Student Health Care Center. Students should present proof of insurance upon arrival as they are responsible for costs not covered by their insurance. UF SHCC will assist with insurance claim submissions when necessary.
