Inclement Weather Schedule Adjustments
Due to severe weather conditions and unsafe road conditions earlier this week, Ted’s Trash Service had to make temporary adjustments to our residential curbside recycling pickup schedule.
Residential Curbside Recycling Suspension: Please be advised that curbside recycling pickup was suspended for the remainder of this week. We prioritize the safety of our drivers and the quality of service, and the weather conditions made recycling collection impractical in certain areas.
Normal Trash Collection Routes Maintained: While recycling was affected, we are pleased to report that all trash collection routes, with the exception of curbside recycling, remained on their regular schedule.
Wednesday Route Catch-Up: For our Wednesday trash routes, our teams worked diligently to stay on schedule. If, however, we were unable to access your street due to continued road conditions, we will return on Thursday to complete your collection.
Thursday and Friday Trash Routes: Normal Schedule: Customers on Thursday and Friday trash collection routes experienced normal service this week.
Curbside Recycling Double-Up Next Week: For those whose recycling pickup was missed this week (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday curbside recycling routes only), we will accommodate a double load of recycling next week on your regularly scheduled recycling day. This will allow you to catch up on your recycling disposal.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this weather-related schedule change may have caused. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we navigated this challenging weather week and prioritized the safety of our teams.

Commercial Customers: Our commercial trash collection services remained on a normal schedule throughout this period. We kindly request that commercial customers ensure enclosures are kept clear and free of snow and ice to facilitate safe and efficient collection. If we missed your scheduled pickup due to weather-related access issues, we will make every effort to return to your location as soon as possible when we are back in your area.
Roll Off Customers: Customers with scheduled Roll Off services for Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday were contacted directly to reschedule as needed, prioritizing safety during the inclement weather.
Memorial Day Holiday Schedule 2025
Please take note of our Memorial Day holiday schedule for 2025:
- Friday, May 23rd, 2025: Office will close at noon.
- Monday, May 26th, 2025: Ted’s Trash Service will be closed in observance of Memorial Day. All routes will be delayed by one day following the holiday.
- Tuesday, May 27th, 2025: Monday’s routes will be serviced.
- Wednesday, May 28th, 2025: Tuesday’s routes will be serviced.
- Thursday, May 29th, 2025: Wednesday’s routes will be serviced.
- Friday, May 30th, 2025: Thursday’s routes will be serviced.
- Saturday, May 31st, 2025: Friday’s routes will be serviced.
Curbside Placement Reminder: Regardless of schedule adjustments, please ensure your trash is curbside by 6:00 AM on your scheduled service day.
Observed Holidays and General Policy
Ted’s Trash Service observes the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July (observed on July 5th starting in 2025), Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. If a holiday falls on a weekday, all collection routes will be delayed by one day following the holiday.
