Major Subway Service Changes Over the Weekend
Trains: Changes in Manhattan, Bronx, and Brooklyn
From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, significant MTA service changes will affect the train lines. There will be no train service between 135 St and 3 Av-149 St, trains will not run at all, and trains will be suspended between 149 St-Grand Concourse and E 180 St. These disruptions are due to essential accessibility improvement work.
To facilitate travel, free shuttle buses will operate between 135 St and 3 Av-149 St, with stops at 145 St. Follow station signage for directions to the nearest shuttle bus stop.
- train service will be divided into two sections:
- Between Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College and 135 St, rerouted via the to/from Harlem-148 St, bypassing 145 St in both directions.
- Between 3 Av-149 St and Wakefield-241 St.

Flushing-Main St station will be bypassed by trains from 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Monday for track maintenance.

Significant MTA service changes are planned for trains in Manhattan. From 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, February 27, World Trade Center-bound trains will be rerouted to run on the line from 5 Av/53 St to W 4 St-Wash Sq. This is due to switch replacement and signal modernization work.
- For service to 7 Av station, use the train to/from 47-50 St-Rockefeller Ctr.
- For access to 50 St and 23 St stations, take an uptown train.
- For stations including 42 St-Port Authority Bus Terminal, 34 St-Penn Station, and 14 St, use the or train.
During the same period, downtown trains will operate on the express track from 59 St-Columbus Circle to Canal St due to the same infrastructure work.

On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, and trains will run every 15 minutes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. This reduced frequency is because trains will share the local track in Brooklyn for electrical work.

Port Washington Branch
Trains will not run between Great Neck and Port Washington in either direction from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday for track maintenance.
- Buses will run hourly between Great Neck and Port Washington, serving all stations except Plandome.
- For Plandome, use the nearby Manhasset bus stop as an alternative.
- Trains will operate between Penn Station and Great Neck on a regular weekend schedule.
- Last trains on Friday night: 11:11 p.m. from Penn Station and 11:38 p.m. from Port Washington.
