Language Services Associates Renews Partnership with Philadelphia Union

Language Services Associates (LSA), a global leader in language solutions, has announced a multiyear renewal of their partnership with the Philadelphia Union, further solidifying their commitment to bridging communication gaps and expanding the reach of Major League Soccer. As part of the renewed agreement, LSA will become the presenting partner of the rebranded Club LSA, formerly known as the Tunnel Club, one of Subaru Park’s most premium spaces.

LSA’s expertise in interpretation, translation, and American Sign Language services will continue to play a crucial role in connecting the Philadelphia Union with its diverse and international fanbase. Charlie Slonaker, Philadelphia Union Chief Revenue Officer, emphasized the value of LSA’s contribution, stating, “With their ability to help the club reach new audiences through interpretations, interviews, content, and game day experiences in a number of languages, we’ve been able to grow our fan base and establish deeper connections with our community.” This renewed partnership underscores the Union’s dedication to inclusivity and accessibility for all fans.

The expanded partnership designates LSA as the presenting partner for Club LSA, the exclusive premium area within Subaru Park. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will officially unveil the newly named club in the coming weeks. Furthermore, LSA will be the presenting partner for the highly anticipated May 15th match against NYCFC. This increased visibility reflects the growing importance of language services in fostering deeper engagement within the global soccer community.

Scott Cooper, President of LSA, highlighted the natural synergy between LSA’s mission and the international nature of soccer: “Soccer is the most international game. The overlap with our mission of bringing people together by eliminating language barriers is a natural fit. We are thrilled to continue this long-term relationship.” This alignment of values ensures a fruitful partnership that benefits both organizations and the broader soccer community.

Initially established in 2022, the partnership between LSA and the Philadelphia Union has already yielded significant results. Initiatives such as providing a sign-language interpreter for the National Anthem at every home game and creating player translation content for social media have demonstrated a commitment to inclusivity and connecting with fans in meaningful ways. LSA’s comprehensive suite of language services, encompassing over 7,000 interpreters and translators utilizing cutting-edge technology, positions them as a vital partner for organizations seeking to navigate the complexities of global communication. This expertise extends to various sectors, including sports, entertainment, healthcare, government, and finance.
