Connecting with the Community Through Service at Skidmore CDC

The Career Development Center (CDC) at Skidmore College is dedicated to fostering Community Service and civic engagement, acting as a vital link between students, faculty, and over 40 nonprofit organizations in Saratoga Springs, alongside regional and national partners. Skidmore students actively engage in community service across diverse sectors, from healthcare to environmental conservation and the arts, collectively contributing thousands of volunteer hours annually. Furthermore, the college integrates practical learning with civic responsibility through more than 20 Applied Civic Engagement (ACE) courses offered by faculty.

The CDC facilitates student involvement in community service by providing transportation assistance to various volunteer sites.
