Capital Waste Services (CWS), a leader in the waste management industry, continues its robust expansion strategy through strategic acquisitions and the securing of key service contracts across the Southeastern United States. Key Acquisitions Driving Growth in 2024

The year 2024 has already seen significant expansion for Capital Waste Services. A notable acquisition was Tennessee Waste Haulers LLC of Chattanooga, Tennessee, finalized on November 29, 2024. This transaction included the Birchwood 2 Landfill, significantly bolstering CWS’s infrastructure in the region. Further strengthening its position, CWS acquired Dumpster Depot in Aiken, South Carolina on September 20, 2024, enhancing service capabilities in the South Carolina market. Expanding its footprint into Florida, Capital Waste Services acquired Herrington Industries of Palatka, Florida on January 31, 2024. This acquisition brought with it the Northeastern Environmental C&D Landfill and hauling operations in both Palatka and Jacksonville, Florida, marking a substantial entry into the Florida waste management sector. Earlier in the year, on January 12th, 2024, CWS acquired SC Waste in Orangeburg, South Carolina, further consolidating its presence within South Carolina.

Strategic Growth and Expansion in 2023

The year 2023 was also pivotal for Capital Waste Services. CWS was awarded the operating agreement for Tazewell County Landfill in Tazewell, VA, effective October 18, 2023, demonstrating public sector confidence in CWS’s operational expertise. In South Carolina, CWS expanded its landfill assets by acquiring Sandlands C&D Landfill in Conway and Express Disposal, also in Conway, both acquisitions effective March 14, 2023. Earlier in the year, on January 31, 2023, Capital Waste Services acquired Priority Waste Services in Soddy Daisy, TN, further strengthening its Tennessee operations. In addition to acquisitions, CWS secured significant service contracts, beginning service for LX Hausys in Adairsville, GA on January 24, 2023, and Mohawk Industries in Dalton, GA on October 1, 2022, showcasing its ability to attract and serve major industrial clients.

Continued Expansion and Service Wins in 2022 and Beyond

The growth trajectory of Capital Waste Services extends back to 2022 and earlier years. October 28, 2022 marked the acquisition of assets from Southern Central Waste Services, LLC, adding to CWS’s portfolio of operational resources. CWS also expanded its service network by incorporating McMinnville Hauling and Transfer Station, Coffee County Transfer Station, and Dekalb County Transfer Station into its operations. New service contracts were secured with Mohawk Industries in Calhoun, GA starting October 3, 2022, and Aiken County Schools from August 1, 2022. Acquisitions continued with front load routes from Pascon on June 15, 2022, and Pee Dee Environmental C&D Landfill on March 24, 2022. Key service contracts were also established with The Citadel Military College in Charleston starting February 1, 2022, and the City of Hardeeville, SC, from December 1, 2021, followed by The City of Beaufort, SC, on July 1, 2021. A significant acquisition in 2021 was Santek operations in Tennessee and Georgia on May 5, 2021. Further service expansions included Aiken County, SC Convenience Centers from March 1, 2021, and Daniel Island, SC from January 1, 2021. The year 2020 also saw considerable growth with the acquisition of May River Disposal in Beaufort County, SC on December 30, 2020, and the start of services for the City of Marion on December 1, 2020. Additional acquisitions included Superior Sanitation Services in Camden, SC on August 14, 2020, Priority-1 Waste in Ridgeville, SC on June 30, 2020, and Priority-1 Residential in Ridgeville, SC on April 30, 2020.
