The Office of Marketing and Communications offers comprehensive Photography Services to all college departments and offices. To ensure a seamless experience and timely delivery, please review the following guidelines and submit your request at least two weeks prior to your event.
Scheduling Your Photography Session
Initiate your photography request by completing the Photographer Request Form. Detailed information regarding your needs, the intended purpose of the photographs, and their planned usage will enable us to efficiently assess and fulfill your requirements. Please allow three business days for us to review and respond to your submission. While we strive to accommodate all requests, budgetary and time constraints may limit our capacity to fulfill every request or photograph your entire event.
Photo Selection and Delivery
Upon completion of your photo shoot, you will receive a private URL granting access to all captured photographs. You can then select up to 10 images for professional sizing and editing tailored to your specifications. Delivery of your finalized photographs may take up to five business days, depending on the current volume of photography requests. It’s important to note that the Office of Communications and Marketing reserves the right to use any and all photographs, in whole or in part, for promotional purposes in advertisements, college publications, and digital content supporting the academic mission of the college.
Guidelines for External Photographers
If you intend to engage an external photographer for on-campus activities or college-sponsored events, prior notification and approval from our office are mandatory. This process ensures compliance with legal requirements and college policies.
Photo Release Forms: A Legal Necessity
Photo Release Forms are required for all individuals being photographed, including Brooklyn College students, non-students, and minors under the age of 18. These forms can be obtained from the Office of Communications and Marketing. Submission of all signed Photo Release Forms is a prerequisite for permission to utilize the photographs. This practice protects the rights and privacy of all participants.
