This guide breaks down some key Reliant plan features and highlights how Reliant Customer Service can assist you.
Decoding Reliant’s Free Usage Plans
Reliant provides several plans with free electricity usage during specific times. Here’s a closer look:
Free Weekday Usage Plan
This plan offers free electricity for the highest two days of usage each week (Sunday through Saturday), up to a maximum of 8 free days per monthly billing cycle. This benefit applies to billing periods of 28 days or longer. A day is defined as a 24-hour period from midnight to 11:59 PM. For shorter billing cycles, consult the Electricity Facts Label (EFL) for detailed information. Your average price is calculated based on your total monthly usage.
Free Weekend Usage Plan
This plan provides free electricity usage during weekends. Your average electricity price is calculated based on your total monthly usage, so savings will depend on your energy consumption patterns.
Free Nighttime Usage Plan
This plan offers free electricity during nighttime hours. Similar to the weekend plan, your average price is calculated based on your total monthly usage, and savings will vary based on your time of use.
Renewable Energy with Reliant
All the plans mentioned above match 100% of your electricity usage with solar renewable energy certificates (RECs), contributing to a cleaner energy future. These plans are generally available for new residential customers, and Reliant reserves the right to modify or discontinue them.
Reliant’s Referral Program
Reliant offers a customer referral program where existing customers can earn bill credits by referring new customers. To qualify, the referrer must be an active Reliant residential customer in Texas. The referred customer must also be a new Reliant residential customer in Texas enrolled in a term plan with at least ten days of active service. Bill credits are applied within two billing cycles after the referred customer completes the ten-day requirement. Reliant has the sole discretion to resolve any eligibility disputes and can change or terminate the program at any time. For comprehensive details, refer to Reliant’s referral program page.
