PNC Financial Services: A Comprehensive Overview

Pnc Financial Services Group, Inc. (“PNC”) operates under various marketing names to deliver a wide array of financial solutions. Notably, PNC Private Bank℠ and PNC Private Bank Hawthorn® are utilized for catering to individual clients, offering investment consulting, wealth management, fiduciary services, and FDIC-insured banking and lending through PNC Bank, National Association (“PNC Bank”), a Member FDIC. These brands also extend specific fiduciary and agency services via subsidiaries like PNC Delaware Trust Company and PNC Ohio Trust Company.

For institutional clients, PNC employs PNC Institutional Asset Management® to provide discretionary and non-discretionary investment, trustee, custody, and related services. These services are delivered by PNC Bank, alongside investment management activities managed by PNC Capital Advisors, LLC, an SEC-registered investment advisor and wholly-owned subsidiary of PNC Bank. Furthermore, PNC Institutional Advisory Solutions® is the marketing name for discretionary investment management, trustee, and related services offered through PNC Bank.

Retirement planning for employers is addressed under the PNC Retirement Solutions® banner. This division specializes in investment, consulting, trustee, and custody services for employer-sponsored retirement plans, all provided by PNC Bank.

It is important to note that PNC does not offer legal, tax, or accounting advice unless a specific written tax services agreement is in place with PNC Bank for tax advice. Additionally, PNC Bank is not registered as a municipal advisor as defined by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Investment management and related services for “municipal entities” or “obligated persons” concerning “proceeds of municipal securities” will be handled by PNC Capital Advisors, ensuring regulatory compliance.
