Finding parking at a university campus can often feel like navigating a maze. At the University of Central Florida (UCF) Downtown campus, parking is designed to be convenient and accessible, but understanding the system is key to a smooth experience. Whether you’re a student, faculty member, staff, or visitor, this guide will provide you with everything you need to know about Ucf Parking Services at the downtown location.
Understanding UCF Downtown Parking Permits
Just like the main UCF campus, parking permits are mandatory for parking in UCF-designated parking lots and garages at the Downtown campus. These permits ensure that parking spaces are available for those affiliated with the university. Parking spaces are clearly marked based on permit type, so it’s crucial to park in the correct designated area to avoid citations. It’s important to note that overnight parking is not permitted on the downtown campus or in the City garages within Creative Village.
Parking Options for Students
For students attending classes at UCF Downtown, there are dedicated parking solutions tailored to their needs.
UCF Students
The primary parking location for students with “D” (green) and “R” (orange) permits is the Amelia I Parking Garage (PG3). As a secondary option, the Parramore Garage (PG1) also accommodates “D” and “R” permit holders. Purchasing your parking permit is easily done online through the UCF Parking Services portal, ensuring a hassle-free start to your semester.
Valencia College Students
Valencia College students attending classes at the Downtown campus also have dedicated parking arrangements. To acquire a parking permit, Valencia students will need their Atlas ID and Downtown Campus password. A detailed guide is available to assist Valencia students through the permit purchase process.

Parking for UnionWest Residential Students
Students residing at UnionWest have a unique and convenient parking option. The UnionWest garage is the sole on-campus location offering overnight parking. Residents can lease an assigned parking space within this garage, which is directly connected to the residential building, providing secure and easy access to student housing.
Faculty and Staff Parking Information
Faculty and staff members at UCF Downtown are also provided with designated parking areas to ensure convenient access to campus facilities.
The Parramore Garage (PG1) is the primary parking location for faculty and staff holding “B” (red) and “C” (blue) parking permits. The Amelia I Parking Garage (PG3) serves as the secondary parking option for “B” and “C” permit holders. Faculty and staff can also purchase their parking permits through the online portal.
Guest and Visitor Parking Solutions
UCF Downtown welcomes guests and visitors and offers several parking choices to accommodate short-term parking needs.
Visitors can conveniently purchase a daily virtual parking permit for $5 via UCF’s virtual permit system. This daily permit is a cost-effective solution for those visiting the campus for a single day.
The first level of the Parramore Garage is exclusively designated for daily virtual permit parking. In case of overflow, the 4th floor of the Parramore Garage or any level of the Amelia Garage provides additional space for daily virtual permits. These daily permits are valid in all “D” (green) parking spaces within the Parramore and Amelia Garages and become valid in red or blue spaces after 5:30 pm.
For shorter visits, metered parking is available along Livingston Street. Additionally, an hourly parking lot located on Livingston Street, adjacent to the Marriott Hotel, provides another option. These metered and hourly parking spaces are managed by the City of Orlando, and payment for on-street parking meters is facilitated through the ParkMobile app. Hourly parking is also available at UnionWest for visitors to that facility.
